The Longtooth Collective was a spontaneous rupture in the Bay Area underground. Made up of Jon Howell (guitar), Dan Sneddon (drums) and Matt O’Brien (bass), also joined by vocalists Paul Isham, Harvey Rañola, and Gabriel Long.

Howell’s angular phrasing carves out space, O’Brien’s low end bulldozes through the mix, and Sneddon’s drumming is always searching. Each song becomes an unrepeatable battleground of intention.

Members would go on to form projects like: Kowloon Walled City, Tigon, Early Graves, Less Art, Ex Everything, and beareab.
